March 24. Tuesday.
I watched Sundo because I have no option when I finished my job early (so no OT work for me) and since I left my house keys in the office.
I was just curious about the movie when I checked what movie was showing at Trinoma. I initially went for Kate Winslet/Leonardo DiCaprio's "Revolutionary Road" but missed the first 20 minutes of the movie so I cancelled that choice and opted for Sundo.
I did not have any previous reference before going in for this movie except for the ocassional MRT pass-ups at GMA building along MRT's GMA-Kamuning Station.
So, there I went and sat not to my reserved seat since there's not much people coming over when I first got in.
Almost 10 minutes before the movie starts, a parade of people came and were very noisy - teenagers and school boys and girls. I did not move from my seat. I'm just giving a stern look whenever somebody would come near my not-reserved seat.. hahaha. I'm too bored to go to my reserved seat.
Then lights off.
Some girls at my back began to chatter. It was a hush-hush so I did not mind. The movie started off as a thrill-chill and went on to scare people with its grandiose sound engineering. That same girl was actually shouting "ano ba yan, sunod sunod namang takutan ito, wala bang pahinga? Kakastress naman, akala ko mag-rerelax ako...relax, see a movie"...(What the heck, the thrill is killing me, I can't even relax for the continuing suspense chills, all along I thought, relax, see a movie.)
I began to like that audience... She's so funny!
Sundo is a well-directed movie with its share of scare and action sequences and tight editing.
Then came Robin Padilla being chased by Kamatayan (Death) and then he slipped and got sub-sub (his face down) on the floor... with all its suspense and all, another male audience from my far back, shouted "Tumayo ka, Idol," (Stand up, Idol!) with people acknowledging that shoutout. It was actually hilarious and some scared audience got some sort of a relief, including myself. lol
When everybody started to laugh due to some audience's unmindful commentaries, Sundo delivered another frightening ending which got me hold on to my seat..
I was actually scared 2-3 times all throughout! Darn, it was such a nice movie, how I love to love watching horror movies again.

"Lamb for Life"
will navigate towards things I like best - listening to great music but most of which music comes from the Mariah Carey catalogue (and comprises 90% of this blog's content LOL), and the reminder that life is good with good music, good food, good movies and all good fun stuff that comes in between...
Enjoy!
Enjoy!
